Your Peoria experience will give you an opportunity to learn in a large urban school. Peoria is located close to Illinois State which will allow you to live on campus for your PDS year.
Candidates in this PDS are paired with mentor teachers in their field on the first day of the Peoria High academic school year. They complete approximately 100 clinical hours during the fall semester at the same time that they take two courses on site, C&I 214 and C&I 216. Candidates continue working with their mentor teachers in the spring semester as they "team teach" for the remainder of the year.
