The award was established in 1987 by Maureen Brady, who is a 1967 graduate of Illinois State, to promote and enhance modern technology in educational development and research. It was named "Bon Accord Award" to note the motto of the City of Aberdeen, Scotland from where her mother's family originated.
(1 award, $600) Undergraduate or graduate students are eligible. Candidates must be recommended by a member of the faculty or professional staff and have a career goal of using emerging technology in educational development through teaching and/or research.
Letter of recommendation: One letter of recommendation from a member of the ISU faculty or professional staff is required. The letter must be electronically submitted by the person making the recommendation during the month of March to tescholarships@ilstu.edu. We require that the subject line of the email be formatted as follows: Scholarship Name - Applicant's First and Last Name.
FERPA Waiver: You must sign and submit the form with each application to be eligible for any award, but you are free to withhold any or all of the permissions listed. A clear scan or photograph of your FERPA waiver only will be accepted (on-campus scanning equipment is available at Milner Library).
